As I sit in my apartment in downtown St. Louis reading my Twitter feed and listening to the news of the aftermath of the bombings today at the #BostonMarathon, I have come to realize that NO MATTER WHAT happens, I will ALWAYS be a proud AMERICAN.
I will NOT be afraid to enjoy my freedoms and rights that my forefathers fought and gave their lives VOLUNTARILY for! They did NOT run and hide, they STOOD UP for what they believed in and that is EXACTLY what we ALL as AMERICANS, MUST do!
These COWARDS that call themselves heroes for blowing up such an INNOCENT event and killing INNOCENT people will always run and hide in the dark!
I realize that at any point in time my life can be taken from me by means that are out of my control, however I choose to control the life that I will live and it WILL NOT be in the dark! I will continue to enjoy my freedoms and my rights as a PROUD AMERICAN and refuse to allow these COWARDS to take that away from me.
I hope that you will all do the same! Thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this awful tragedy.

Disastrous events bring out the worst reporting ever in the effort to break the news first. Journalism skills go completely out the window. You’re the news, not social media, not an entertainment source. Your speculation (even if proven correct) does an incredible disservice to those you are meant to inform.
